Kingscote Barn Wedding Photography - Tom + Poppy

Tom & Poppy’s wedding had been delayed for a few years but we finally got there and Kingscote Barn looked fantastic in the warm sunshine!

The couple were matched through tinder, but had seen each other in town before. They hit it off straight away and then I couldn’t get rid of her! The rest as they say is history!

Where was the proposal? Orlando, Florida. The first morning of a family holiday. Due to nerves and jet lag I think I managed to wait it out until 5.45am!

What were you most excited for on your wedding day? Probably, finally getting to spend the whole day and evening with all our closest family and friends, after having to wait 4 years to get to the actual day due to a pandemic. It really was the best day, after all.

Why did you choose that venue? We chose Kingscote Barn due to the beautiful, scenic surroundings and having fallen in love with the venue at a family wedding three years prior. It exceeded everything we hoped it would be and we were ecstatic that we had lovely weather too!

What were your favourite parts of the day? Tom – The speeches. After spending most of the morning being petrified at the thought of public speaking, it was actually really enjoyable and….emotional! Poppy – The Evening. Finally getting to celebrate and let loose and have a dance with our guests. Both – THE FOOD!!!

Any other tips for future couples? Don’t sweat the small stuff! All these little things that you think are going to make the day and really don’t end up mattering. All you want to do is celebrate with your guests and have fun.
