Old Down Manor Wedding Photography - Jamie + Chelsea

Our first visit of the year to Old Down Manor which has undergone a complete makeover. It’s refreshed neutral colour scheme making it much easier to blend with your chosen wedding colours.  We went to see Jamie first who was getting ready with his family before the 30 minute drive to Old Down. We arrived and went straight to Chelsea and the girls getting ready in the bridal suite which was a hive of activity with hair and makeup well underway. A quick look around the venue showed the wedding area was already prepared, as was the wedding breakfast room which looked stunning in the the couples chosen colour scheme.

Once the detail photographs were complete, we concentrated in the arriving guests and flitting back and forth from the bridal prep to Jamie’s arrival as well as scoping out some places for the couple photos a little later on.

After the ceremony followed by the traditional confetti photo, we moved onto the groups and followed up with some couple photos shortly before their wedding breakfast. The saxophonist started playing in the main hall which certainly got the guests dancing, warming them up for the first dance. This was preceded with the original ‘Mr & Mrs’ game before the couple took to the floor. We then used the diminishing daylight for a sunset photo in the gardens before the groom and best men lit up their cigars to celebrate the day.
