St Andrews Church, Chew Stoke wedding photography - James + Katie
James and Katie’s beautiful Somerset wedding began with a relaxed and joyful morning capturing video and photos of Katie getting ready with her bridal party. One of the most touching moments was the first look with her dad – a truly emotional highlight. The ceremony took place at the charming and specially decorated St Andrews Church in Chew Stoke, where around 80+ guests gathered.
Following the ceremony, the couple made a memorable exit through a guard of honour formed by firemen holding ceremonial axes, with guests showering them in confetti. This unique moment gave us some brilliant natural photo opportunities alongside family group shots in the church grounds.
From there, we made our way to Woodford Lodge for some pre-arranged couple photos with the lake in the background, then onto the stunning marquee setup in Chew Stoke, perfectly arranged to welcome guests with plenty of space for dining and dancing. The wedding breakfast was followed by heartfelt speeches, allowing us to capture some lovely candid shots of the couple and their guests.
As the sun continued to shine, we stepped outside for more couple portraits and relaxed group photos. Although it was too windy for drone footage, the setting and light still provided a beautiful backdrop.
Evening guests arrived to the upbeat sounds of The Twirzels band. James and Katie’s first dance was made magical with a fog machine and indoor sparklers – a real showstopper! We ended the day with some fun evening photos and sparklers, leaving with a full gallery of wonderful memories from this fantastic Chew Stoke wedding.
